The idea for WineAccess was hatched all the way back in 1997. As someone who had spent years in wine distribrution, I was well acquainted with the increasing difficulties high quality, small to medium-sized producers were having getting their bottles in the hands of interested consumers. We developed WineAccess, as a broad-based industry portal providing services to wine shops, wineries, wine journalists, and consumers. I believed at the time that if we built our system properly, we would build a large audience of wine consumers.
